Welcome to The H.O.G. Farm 2020 Season!
What is The H.O.G. Farm?
The H.O.G. began as the Hamlet Organic Garden in 1996. We have since grown to a 20 acre farm in our 24th year of operation. We are located within Brookhaven Hamlet on the south shore of Long Island. We provide the community with over 300 varieties of our own vegetables, herbs, flowers and fruits through our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, on-site weekend farm stands, and a growing number of local restaurants. Our mission is to grow the most delicious and nutritious produce possible while strengthening our natural environment, empowering our farm workers, and enriching our community. We use all natural, certified organic soil amendments, animal feeds, and no chemical fertilizers or pesticides.
H.O.G. CSA Share Membership:
• A pickup each week, over 22 weeks (end of May-end of October), containing 7-12 items of freshly harvested produce.
*Regular and Small sized shares available
• 10% discount at our farm stand, as well as Member Discount pricing to all farm events • The opportunity to volunteer and work in the fields with your farmers
*Members who volunteer 15 hours can receive a $100 refund
• Optional Pick Your Own(PYO) Add-on :
*A weekly selection of seasonally available PYO items: Herbs, Flowers, Strawberries, etc
Briermere Farm Fruit Share:
All members are welcome to add on a weekly pickup of fruit, ranging from peaches and nectarines to pears and apples, grown by our friends at Briermere Farms in Riverhead. Fruit Share pickups are 19 weeks from June. Pick up is at the same place and time as your CSA share.
Acabonac Beef Share:
New & improved!! 4 pick ups at the farm first week of June, July, August, September. 2x 6oz Sirloin Steak / 2x 6oz Filet Mignon / 4 lbs ground beef / 4 burger patties
Flying Pig Fund:
The Flying Pig Fund is back, please donate to help subsidize CSA shares for people in need. The amount of funding we receive will determine how many subsidized shares we can offer.
